If you are considered a Young, Beginning or Small Farmer/Rancher you may qualify for special lending programs!

For many farmers and ranchers, we were the first, and often the only, lender chosen when they began their farming operation. Many of these farmers continue to use Farm Credit for all their agricultural financing needs.

Our loan officers understand agriculture and the challenges young people face when getting involved in agriculture, transferring an existing operation, or expanding an operation.

Chisholm Trail Farm Credit is committed to helping you face these challenges through our Young, Beginning, or Small Farmer and Rancher Program.

Are you a Young, Beginning, or Small Farmer or Rancher?

A Young farmer or rancher is one who is 35 years of age or younger.

A Beginning farmer or rancher is one who has 10 or fewer years farming or ranching experience.

A Small farmer or rancher is one who generates less than $250,000 in annual gross agricultural sales. Our loan officers would be glad to review the program guidelines with you to determine if you qualify. We also work closely with government entities such as FSA to provide additional program opportunities that may fit your needs.
